30 Years 2 Days Ago What a long strange trip
This always been a very memorable show for Me.Saturday night 4th of July.Great sets, spectacular fireworks. I bought a dozen tickets, & took 9 close friends to Their first show. Left 2 at "Will Call" under the name of Pigpen just in case. Married My sweetheart two years later at the Labor Day show 8-31-1985.

Independence Day Spectacular
This show was played on the day I was born. I revisit it on or near my birthday most years. This is some great early 80s Dead!
The crowd erupts when "leaving Texas, Fourth day of July" is changed to "T for Texas, T for the Fourth of July". Weather was a steamy 94°
Thanks to all!

Flight of the seabirds....
Always loved those "seagulls" in the Playin' jam.
Never heard Bobby do anything like that before or since.
I'll bet a good time was had by all....
